I hope everyone had a very relaxing spring break despite how short it was. But since life likes to be unfair, after every break it's back to business. But who says business can't be fun & games? That's why VNLC welcomes all of you back with some wonderful gifts this quarter! VNLC is proud to be part of the 5th Annual ViFF this year. For the next couple of weeks, we'll be promoting ViFF like crazy and we would HIGHLY appreciate it if everyone can come out to the ViFF Orientation this Thursday, so please check it out! Upcoming Events Thursday3/31 ViFF Orientation! Hey VNLC!! I hope you all had a wonderful and restful Spring break (even though it was really short with bad weather). As you may know, The Vietnamese International Film Festival (aka ViFF) is coming up soon! And an event like this needs lots of volunteers! If you are interested in volunteering for this event we are going to have an orientation session THIS THURSDAY 9 PM IN ACKERMAN 2412. As a volunteer, you will receive: * Two (2) free tickets for any screenings except Opening, Closing, and volunteered shifts that you signed up for. * One (1) ViFF T-shirt (choice of blue or pink) * Special invitation to the post-festival Volunteer Appreciation Party * Meet the filmmakers/actors/producers and experience the behind-the-scene of ViFF! The Vietnamese International Film Festival (ViFF) is an eight-day event uniquely showcasing films made by Vietnamese and Vietnamese diasporic filmmakers. Presented biennially since 2003 by the two non-profit organizations Vietnamese American Arts & Letters Association (VAALA) and Vietnamese Language & Culture (VNLC), ViFF has featured films from all over the world, including but not limited to Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Israel, Poland, United States, and Vietnam.
