FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME
The main purpose of this course is to introduce the basic ideas of data mining algorithms and also of their scalability for Big Data situations. Relatively simple classifier and clustering algorithms are presented and analyzed in detail. How the simple data mining algorithms need to be redesigned for the Map-Reduce environment is presented and analyzed
To help faculties and research scholars with the skills for adopting these emergent analytics techniques in Data mining , IIITDM Jabalpur is conducting six days FDP on Data Mining Algorithms and their Scalability for Big Data and introducing some of the most relevant features on Matlab and R. Click below to know more details.
Data Miner survey Results
-70% of Data Miners use R.
- Regression is the most
frequently used algorithm
- 38% of Data miners incorporate
text mining.
- Customer transactions is #1
data source
