We are seeking to fill three positions in Vietnam. Each position is for a two (02) year term, renewable based on continuing business need and strong performance.

1.        Project Officer/Operations Officer, Access To Finance Program (JOB #091979)
Location: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

The Access to Finance Program has two pillars: working with individual financial institutions to extend their services and outreach, and developing financial systems infrastructure.

The Access to Finance Program in Vietnam is currently providing assistance to:
·        Individual banks, to increase access to finance
·        The Bank Training Center, an independent provider of training and consulting to banks
·        The State Bank of Vietnam to set up a private credit bureau
·        The Ministry of Justice and the State Bank of Vietnam to set up a registry for immovable assets


We are seeking a Project Officer /Operations Officer to work primarily with client banks and financial institutions to introduce innovative products, including energy efficiency and cleaner production financing.

Candidates should possess the following:

·        Masters degree in finance, accounting, or business administration
·        Minimum eight years relevant experience in banking and/or financial institutions (international bank/ financial institutions greatly preferred)
·        Minimum three years in managerial position with strong leadership
·        Minimum three years experience conducting risk analysis and financial modeling
·        Proven track record in project management; ability to manage consultants to deliver high quality results
·        Strong analytical and organization skills; ability to take initiative and work independently
·        Sound knowledge of accounting and financial statement analysis, familiarity with a variety of relevant software applications
·        Work experience in the region (either Mekong and/or South East Asia)
·        Ability to communicate clearly and concisely to expert and non-expert audiences
·        Fluency in English and Vietnamese

2.        Project Officer/Operations Officer Environment & Social Sustainability Program (JOB # 091981)
Location: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

The Environmental & Social Sustainability Program helps increase enterprise competitiveness through improvements in labor standards, working conditions, dispute resolution, and environmental regulations compliance.

IFC has collaborated with ILO in developing the Better Work Global Program to improve competitiveness through labor standards in global supply chains mainly in developing countries. Better Work focuses on scalable and sustainable solutions which build cooperation between government, employer and worker organizations, and international buyers. It combines independent enterprise assessments with enterprise advisory and training services to support workplace improvements.  It is a voluntary industry-based scheme designed to work at the enterprise level.  In line with this, IFC and ILO are now collaborating to establish a Better Work project in Vietnam (BWV) which also includes developing and piloting the training products for the Better Work Global Program.

We are seeking a Project Officer/Operations Officer  who will be primarily responsible for the implementation of IFC’s Advisory Services to BWV and ensuring that IFC’s value add to the project is clear and will lead to benefits to the stakeholders.  In addition, s/he is also expected to contribute to the implementation and further development of IFC’s Environmental and Social Sustainability Program.

Candidates should possess the following:

·        An advanced degree in economics, business or a related field
·        At least five years of relevant working experience, either in the private sector or in developing and managing technical assistance, advisory services, business projects or consultancy programs
·        Expertise in project formulation, administration and evaluation techniques, training product development and ability to mobilize resources

·        Background in the garment sector or manufacturing sector and experience in Vietnam or the Mekong region

·        Demonstrated ability to handle multi-stakeholder relationships and build upon them to deliver targeted project results

·        High level communication skills, including capacity to represent IFC, work with the media, and operate in a multi-cultural environment

·        Fluency in English and Vietnamese (both oral and written)

3.        Finance Assistant (JOB # 091949)
Location: Hanoi, Vietnam

We are recruiting a Finance Assistant to support Hanoi office operations. The Finance Assistant will be responsible for transaction processing and financial reporting for IFC Hanoi office.

Candidates should possess the following:

·        Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Economics, with at least three years of IFRS accounting experience in corporate setting
·        Sound knowledge of accounting theory, concepts and principles, financial accounting reporting, budgeting, cost allocation
·        Proven practical skills in GL, AP/AR, journal entries, account reconciliations, budgeting, analysis of financial data, preparation of financial reports
·        Advanced skills in Excel and working knowledge of Microsoft office, Internet, Lotus Notes applications
·        Prior experience in ERP applications (SAP) and recognized professional accreditation (CPA, CIMA, ACCA, etc) are greatly preferred
·        Knowledge of Donor Funded Operations and/or WBG policies is greatly preferred
·        Strong conceptual, analytical, and evaluation skills
·        Superb accuracy and attention to detail
·        Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
·        Strong communication skills, including the ability to prepare, present, and discuss findings; excellent knowledge sharing and delivering training skills
·        Fluency in English and Vietnamese
