to VNA Tools
Hello,
I have structured the linearity measurements I performed for VNA Tools as outlined below. However, during our accreditation audit, the auditor requested that I obtain confirmation from you regarding this approach.

For the 0 to -60 dB range, I set the VNA power level to -10 dBm and performed measurements by increasing the step attenuator from 0 to 60 dB in 10 dB increments. I then evaluated the difference between the corrected value and the reference value. I selected the largest absolute value among these differences and entered it into VNA Tools.

Similarly, for the 0 to 20 dB range, I set the VNA power level to +10 dBm and performed measurements by increasing the step attenuator from 0 to 20 dB in 10 dB steps. Again, I calculated the differences between the corrected and reference values, selected the maximum absolute difference, and entered it into VNA Tools.

The study is summarized in the attached table. Do you think this approach is correct?

One final question: when the VNA power is set to +10 dBm, I can stably measure the attenuation of a 70 dB step attenuator. Do the linearity measurements I have taken also cover the 70 dB attenuation measurement at the +10 dBm setting, or would you recommend taking an additional measurement?

Best regards,
