Hello,

we have following setup: We extend the 4 Hardware Ports of our VNA using a Switchmatrix to 7 "Virtual" Ports, which are selectable depending on the switching states of the switches.

During this setup we had following Questions:
1. How do we characterize the Reflection and Transmission Repeatability of the switchable unit?
(Our guess would be a similar procedure as the cable Parameters:
- Transmission Repeatability (Mag & Phase): Connect a short and remeasure the switching state
- Reflection Repeatability: Connect a matched load and remeasure the switching state)

2. Is there an implementation or guide for Multiport Calibration of Virtual Ports?
Right now we were only able to archieve this with
- manual editing of the Measurement Journal xml: Add VNA Ports, new connection / cable movement /switchstate for the Virtual Ports (and remove or rename the Hardware Port entrys)
- editing the Ports of the measurement files (from Hardware Port to Virtual Port numbering)

3. Could you give us a guidance to determine the Transmission Repatability for Connectors (snap-on)? (You only mention to keep it zero for all non snap-on connectors: https://groups.google.com/g/vnatools/c/oZ5MVInppco/m/MQmcwX32BQAJ )

Thanks for your help and answers and best greets

Patrick
