Hi METAS VNA gang,

In the included Examples there are files for 3.5 mm primary offset short calibration standards, but not for N50.

Does VNA Tools support primary offset short calibration standards in the N50 connector size?

Yes. If you attended a VNA Tools course you will find on your USB stick a presentation about Type-N primary calibration. See the 03_ReferencePlaneDefinition.pdf file.

Thanks Michael. I couldn't find anything on helping to define the standard in the software.

I have attached my attempt at defining a HP Type-N (m) short using the connector specifications from https://www.metas.ch/dam/metas/de/data/Fachbereiche/Hochfrequenz/Documents/hoffmann2015a-coaxconnectors.pdf.download.pdf/hoffmann2015a-coaxconnectors.pdf

The length / OCID / ICOD values are simply nominal.

Maybe you can help with finding out why this is giving unhandled exception errors?

You need to simulate the connector and a nominal pin gap using a field simulator (not part of VNA Tools).
See user manual of VNA Tools, section 4.5.5.

I would propose that you visit a VNA Tools course and the VNA Expert Day.
