Hi,

We would like measure the input reflection of the spectrum analyser.
Do you have any idea how can we synchronize spectrum analyser with VNA?

Hi,

what kind of spectrum analyzer do you want to measure?

For a R&S FSMR and FSW there are driver in VNA Tools.

Measurement steps:

1. VNA Settings (setup frequency sweep)
2. Measurement / Spectrum Analyzer / Settings (this will read out the VNA frequency list and set up the SA)
3. Measurement / Spectrum Analyzer / Measurement (this will measure each frequency in CW mode and the frequency is set to the SA)

Hi,

R&S FSMR, it is good news, thank you for the information. 

In the setting the OK button is grey. 

Do we have to create a calibration standard for the SA, what type SA Table or SA database?

yes you have to add it to the database. See Test\SpectrumAnalyzer\TestSpectrumAnalyzerTable.calstd as an example.

Hi,

We managed to measure the S11 of the FSMR with Agilent E8363C in 20 MHz – 40 GHz frequency range.

Now we are measuring the lower frequency range 100 kHz – 160 MHz with the Agilent E5061B, we have problems with this frequency range.

Warnings, for example:
Warning: SA sweep (1245 ms) must be complete before the VNA sweep (666 ms). Increase VNA sweep points.

Error message, connection problem:

Hi, 

try to increase the VNA seep points per frequency. So that a VNA sweep at one frequency takes longer than the SA sweep.

We increased the VNA sweep points to 48 and now it  works fine.
