vmx-pi program recommendation

Hello. I'm trying to get started with VMX-pi, which program is best?

(ex- java, c++, labview, ros, python)

I've used Labview to control myrio before.

The motor controller uses Titan.

My personal recommendation would be to use Java, as it's well supported by the WPI Library that can be used to program it, which includes lots of extra features and software tools.  If that's not preferable, I'd recommend considering C++.
