Hello Experts,

I am new to using VMWare.vix. I have a windows visual basics 2008 , i am building a sample windows form application which uses VMWare.VIX. I am using Vestrics.VMareLib as a wrapper for this API.

When I try to run the applicaiton I get below message.

Could not load file or assembly 'Interop.VixCOM, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=1a2e7e25925ba452' or one of its dependencies. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131040)

Can anyone let me know , what would be the issue.

I have added the reference to my project.

Thanks,

-Prashant Girennavar.

Because VMWare VixCOM is a native 32-bit application, ensure that the platform target for your program is x86 and not Any CPU. Does this help?

There was a thread of someone else having this exact problem here: https://vmwaretasks.codeplex.com/discussions/70576. Maybe it will help?
