Hi all,

I'm currently setting up a home-Network consisting of a WLAN/DSL-router
(FritzBox Fon WLAN 7050, used for Internet-connectivity, as firewall and as
WPA2-encrypted access-point), one PC running Windows 2000 Advanced server
(SP4 + WindowsUpdate) and another PC running XP Pro (SP2 + windowsupdate) as
well as VMWare Server 1.01.
The Windows 2000-Server has a fixed IP and is running Active directory (as
first domain controller) and various server-applications like DNS, SMTP,
NNTP, Tomcat, Webserver, PHP and Mysql.
On the XP-machine (which gets its IP from the DHCP-Server on the WLAN-router
and acts as host for VMWare), I'd like to configure a series of Virtual
machines running NT or Windows 2000. Whilst the host-OS should remain
separated from the Windows2000-Server, these virtual machines should be
"visible" to the Win2k-Server (and vice versa) and be integrated into the
active directory.

My question re. the above setup : How do I configure VMWare Server to allow
full communication between the Virtual Machines and the Windows 2k-Server
(in particular, the VM's should be integrated into the Active directory). I
presume that the VM's need to use NAT-Networking, but I'm not too sure on
the particular configuration steps.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Regards

Christian
