hi.
I evaluated vm workstation on Windows xp sp3 and loaded a vm. Things
worked great, but alas, no budge so I had to uninstall vm workstation
and install the free vm server.

now though I can run and start/stop my vm (which is linux with
websphere and a web application and oracle database), I can't seem to
connect to my vm using the ip address, i.e. the address either
changed, or I can't figure out how to configure the vm correctly.

I used to be able to use the ip address by adding it to my hosts file
outside of the vm and have my browser on my machine hit the vm running
on my machine, and bring up, say, the websphere console. Also I could
run Oracle database tools and access the database using the ip
address.

Can someone assist me in figuring out how to trouble shoot or even
solve this problem so I can access my software running inside my vm?
