Hi,

I installed VMware server for the first time. Never ever played with it.
But I need to setup XP, virtually on a VISTA machine.

I downloaded the free VMware server today after registering.

Installed it on Windows VISTA (32 bit)
All seemed to work OK.
Install asked to reboot which I did.

When I now try to access the VMware Server Home Page
(https://laptop:8333/ui/) I get nothing, as if the "site" doesn't exist.
When I refresh (F5) I do seem to get a connection but several times "stuff"
is asked about certificates ?

I have 'enabled' intranet as VISTA suggested. And when I do the same now
(still a refresh needed) I get the page that says that a problem has been
found with the website certificate. I click to continue anyway.

Only then can I continue and do I get: "VMware Infrastructure Web Access"
and I have to input a login and password ?
I have no idea what those are supposed to be, I did not need to provide a
password during install ?

The whole thing doesn't seem to be working right, not having the login apart
...
What have I done wrong ? Or what is the problem ?
Pointers appreciated.

Try your local Administrator user and password.
