Problem with Bridged Networking

Hi,

I'm trying to get the bridged networking working inside one of my virtual
machines, but no luck.

My host is running Red Hat Enterprise 3, the same as the guest operating
system. I did set Bridged Networking when creating the virtual machine, but when
I try to activate the eth0 inside the virtual machine I get an error saying:

"Determining IP information for eth0... failed; no link present. Check cable?"

but in another virtual machin, also with bridged networking, I load the Knoppix
CD, and I get connection to the Internet without any problems....

Any idea what could be wrong? Where should I start looking for problems?
