Printer errors from XP VM

I'm running vmware server on Mandriva Linux 2008. I have no trouble
installing and running a oprinter from the host or a Windows98 client but I
cannot get a porinter to work from an XP professional VM. In all cases it
is an Epsom CX6400 connected via a hub to a USB2 Port. Any ideas how to
solve this?
