We are currently seeking VMWARE ADMINISTRATOR to join our Infrastructure team. Candidate must have strong VMware core technology skills, including experience with VMware v6.x/ v5.x, vCenter 5.x, Desktop Virtualization (VMware Horizon/View/ThinApp), Application Virtualization (XenApp, App-V).Our team comprises fulltime employees to provide Codigent clients with Infrastructure and advisory services. Also, to develop and document best practices and methodology related to Financial Services application development
Location : Reston, VA
Duration : 6+ months
Responsibilities
Design, develop, deploy and maintain Vmware-based systems for high-availability and DR including Horizon View VDI, vCenter, vSphere and ESXi
Provide technical assistance to operation team including VDI requirements, testing, and rollout to production.
Utilize scripting, batch files to automate the maintenance and provisioning of VDI's
Perform application virtualization and personalization for virtual and physical system
Provide level 2 and 3 support for desktop platforms including physical and virtual systems
Perform root cause analysis to quickly recover from service interruptions, and to prevent recurring problems in the VDI environment
Must haves:
More than 5-7 years professional experience as subject matter expect in designing, implementing, managing VDI environment using VMware product
Minimum 3 Years' experience implementing, deploying, and supporting VMware View and ThinApp
Minimum 3 years' experience using VMware vSphere
Experience with the following Technologies: Application Virtualization (ThinApp, XenApp, App-V), Profile Management (Appsense), System Center Configuration Manager, Active Directory, GPO, DNS, and DHCP services, Windows 7 and 8, NetApp and EMC storage, F5
Experience in deploying and supporting enterprise level Virtual Desktop Infrastructure solution for more than 2,000 users
Experience with AppSense Management Suite, SCCM, Office 365 - a plus
Certification on Microsoft Technology and VMware - a plus
Solid understanding of Financial Services
