Hi guy's!

I try to convert a Windows 2000 SP4 to ESX 3.5 with WMWare Converter
avec I have an error message. It prompt me that it need an hotfix
file "SCSIPORT.SYS" version 5.0.2195.7017. I already search this
error message in many newsgroup and it tell to download the Update
Rollup 1 for Windows 2000 SP4 (KB891861) but the version of
SCSIPORT.SYS in this download is 5.0.2195.7059.

Someone have the good .sys file? Or another idea?

Thanks.

Have you tried it with the rollup installed? It looks like the
version of SCSIPORT.SYS in the rollup is a later release than the
version you're being asked to install.

I got this from http://communities.vmware.com/message/870026#870026

To address this problem, install Microsoft Update Rollup 1 for Windows
2000 SP4 1 Version 2 (Microsoft KB891861). This version was released
after the initial release of SRP1 for Windows 2000. A flaw in the
original SRP1 package introduces a problematic version of SCSIPORT.SYS
on some systems. VMware Converter detects the problematic versions of
this driver on the source to prevent the STOP 0x1E error on the
resulting virtual machine. Installing the version 2 release or SRP1
will apply the corrected driver to the physical server. After updating
SCSIPORT.SYS, you can restart the conversion process without the
error.

Reference the following URLs for additional information on the STOP
error, and to download Security Rollup Package 1, Version 2:

FYI:
This may also work if you use one of the files on your previously
successfully converted Windows 2000 virtualmachines. (Version .7059
works and sometimes older versions work as well. Just avoid version .
7017 which is known to have issues).
