slow restore in esxi

Hello I was able to backup and restore my virtual machine using vm explorer. I am using gigabit network cards. The backup got a lot faster when I used a lenovo laptop with powerful i7 processor. I got 90% of the bandwidth used during the transfer of the snapshot to my computer. For some reason the restore is slow as molases. I only get 9% of the bandwidth. Is anyone else geting faster speeds during the restore in gigabit networks? Thanks.
