I'm trying to connect to a vm and I just get "Initializing
connection..." for a few minutes until it cancels itself. What could
the issue be? I can rdp to the same vm just fine. I'm trying over the
correct 443 port.

This is the .dmg on my OS X mac machine. I have RDP 2 installed also.

Anyone else seeing this?
Thanks.

Are you trying to connect directly to the VM, rather to a View Connection Server? You need to have a View setup in order to use the View client:

http://www.vmware.com/products/view

(My apologies if you're already doing this; it wasn't clear from your mail)

That's my problem! I talked to the VCP (cert. professional) person who
came to find out we don't use that part of it; we just use VSphere.
Guess I won't be able to use this tool afterall. Thank you for such a
quick response!
