Hi,

Where I work we have a VMWare View installation and I'm having a look
at it. Connecting with the Windows client works just fine, and I gave
this open client a go. I got a message telling me that "... you must
be granted the Allow log on through Terminal Services right.", so I'm
guessing that my username has to be added to the Remote Desktop Users
group. I would do so, but I don't have admin rights... yet.

Is this expected behavior when connecting with the open client? I
guess it's something to do with connecting from a non-Windows
environment, right?

Is this the best way of solving this problem, or is there a different/
better way?

Thanks,
Greg

The View Open Client that is in open circulation use RDP, hence the error you are getting.  No big deal, you just need to turn on RDP the normal way.  If you want PCOIP you have to dig deep to find the latest client, I found one by editing my lubuntu sourcelist......   Ahhhh! here's the reference, this is what I use to create a my livecd, this should help.
