Qualification
Education : Engineering Degree/MCA/MS Comp Science/BCA/Diploma
Professional Certification : Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer/ Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist/Citrix Certified Administrator/VMware Certified Professional
Experience
Years of exp. on Windows : 5yrs
Years of exp. on VMware : 3yrs
OR
Years of exp. on Citrix : 3yrs
Windows 2003/2008 (Subject Matter Expert Responsibilities)
Ability to handle server crashes 'BSOD' using tools like Windbg, livekd, Procmon etc.Should poses strong analytical skill & experience in handling critical Server Performance issues & OS fine tuning skills (Knowledge on using Perfmon, Netmon & Procmon etc)
Should have in-depth knowledge on Process & Memory Management (Concepts like Process Scheduler, Pagedpool, Nonpaged Pool & System PTE's)
Should have knowledge on various industry standard storage concepts like SAN, NAS, RAID, etc.
Should be capable of using remote management tools like VNC, RDP, DRAC, RSA etc
Should have rich experience in handling Critical System Events & the ability to infer Audit logs.
Should have knowledge on Installing & Configuring OS/CLUSTER and Infra services like AD, DNS, WINS, DHCP etc
Thorough Knowledge on various troubleshooting tools and techniques E.g.: Windows Resource Kit, Sysinternals & Third party tools.
Knowledge on developing custom Windows administrative scripts
Experience in managing OS Patch deployment
Server Hardware Rack & Blades (Dell/IBM)
Ability to handle server halts due to HW issues
Should be capable of providing remote assistance to on-site technicians for Hardware Replacements, DRAC/RSA reseating, Network Patch tracing, etc
Experience in managing firmware updates etc
CITRIX XEN-APP Presentation Server 4.5 and above
Should have knowledge on Installing, Configuring & Administering Large Citrix Farms
Good Troubleshooting knowledge on critical Citrix issues
Knowledge on using various CITRIX tools and techniques
Experience in managing Roll-Pack & Hotfix updates deployment
VMwareShould have knowledge on Installing, Configuring & Administering VMware Hosts
Manage Virtual Machines and storage
Knowledge on using various VM tools and techniques
General
Very Good communication
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong analytical skills
Must be able to prioritise tasks
Having good knowledge on ITIL process would be an advantage
Must willing to work 24x7 shift.
