Role: Snr. Systems Admin - Windows / Virtualization
Location: Hyderabad
Responsibilities:
· Analyzing IT requirements for customers and design appropriate services/solutions
· Installation/ configuration/ maintenance of Windows Server 2003/2008 and VM Ware environments
· Provide support in accordance with Corporate and Business policy, and industry best practices.
· PowerShell scripting, IIS, File and Print services Management
· Capacity & Availability Management of Servers, VM Environment, Storage
· Deployment, management and daily operations of the technology infrastructure that incorporates Windows servers.
· Administer Windows systems (AD, GPO, Clustering)
· Manage techniques for monitoring of the physical & virtual systems environment
· Keep servers compliant per Corporate policies - backups, disaster recovery, building new servers, installing and supporting server applications (such as SharePoint, Project, etc.), anti-virus protection, securing servers and documenting processes
· Day to day operation on Server/ OS, issues/management, change management
· New Projects support: installation and commissioning of new hardware, OS & Virtualized platforms
· Managing Production platform, daily health check, monitoring, execution of Change requests as per the Change Request calendar.
· Service Request handling onsite or offshore
Handling production platform issues, supporting project team for installation and commissioning of new hardware, upgrade etc.
Required skills:
· Strong knowledge ofWindows Server OS
· Expertise with VMware and SAN technologies (NetApp / EMC)
· Expertise in the administration and support of both physical and virtualized IT systems
· Experience with VMware ESX, vSphere, View (5+ years)
· Expert at resolving performance issues
· Experience from a project support perspective in application support during P2V conversions
· Good understanding on ITIL v3.0 fundamentals
· Excellent Communication (Oral & Written) skills
· Client Enagement & Vendor Coordination experience
Experience with Backup solutions – Symantec NetBackup / IBM Tivoli / Veritas
