Profile:
Level-3 VMware Administrators
- Strong knowledge of VMware
architecture
- VMware host administration from command line
- VMware ESX
host patching experience
- Strong knowledge on VMware Networking config

Strong knowledge on VMware Storage
- Experience on P2V
- Strong knowledge
on install, configure and manage Windows 2003/2008, VMware
- Troubleshooting
the incidents & problems reported on the servers
- Provide the root cause
analysis on the major incidents/problems
- Generating regular reports

Contribute to internal knowledge management system
- Strong Knowledge on
server management tools
- Strong Knowledge of Troubleshooting skills on
Windows server
- Should have Team leadership skills
- Should be able to
handle escalation calls
- Knowledge on Remote system administration

- Vendor Management.
- Patch
management
Primary Skills:
- Extensive hands on knowledge of
VMware ESX host and Windows 2000/2003 /2008 Servers,
- Working knowledge of
VMware host and Guest OS management skills
- Working knowledge on any of
monitoring tools like BMC, OPS Manger, SCOM and Solarwinds.
- Should have
knowledge on TSM (Tivoli), Symantec Netbackup & BackupExec, ArcServ Backup
tools
- Good Knowledge on Cluster environment
- Troubleshooting Windows
AD
- Threshold management
- Advanced troubleshooting skills in OS related
issues
- Administration of DNS, WINS, DHCP Servers.
- Disk Administrator:
Compact Partitions & Shares, Disk Quotas, DFS
- Patch management, Virus
Management & Firmware upgrade
- Working Knowledge of File and Print
servers
- Log monitoring/maintenance
- Understanding of capacity planning,
performance monitoring and tuning.
- Hand-on knowledge on various RAID
technologies (RAID 0+1, RAID 1, RAID 5 etc.)
- Knowledge on Active Directory
