Dear mailing list members,

Is there a (vmtk) tool to clip surfaces interactively along centerlines? Similar
to vmtkbranchclipper however not clipping at changing GroupIds but at positions
along centerlines specified by mouse clicks, e.g. somewhere in the middle of a
branch. In other words:
- find closest point P in the projected set of centerlines in regard to click
position
- constructing a clip plane positioned at P normal to the centerline containing P
- clip surface with plane BUT only the surface belonging to the centerline
containing P

Any help or hints are very much appreciated
Roman

Hi Roman,
there is vmtkpointsplitextractor, which takes centerlines in input and the xyz coordinates of a point and produces a splitting of centerlines at that point. You can then feed the output to vmtkbranchclipper to get the surface clipped according to the split.
Hope this helps, let me know if you need further directions.
Best,

Luca
