How about a current pointer to this article. I just looked and couldn't find
it. What database is it in, and what is the title? Thanks.

Well, looks like it used to be available on DSNlink, but I can't find it now.
Perhaps it broke with some version of VMS or DECnet (DECnet/OSI?) and they
withdrew the code. Or... it's written in VAX Macro-32, so it's not likely of
much use on AXPs.
MONHWA was actually one third of a set of ethernet monitoring programs. The
full set was:
MONHWA - gathers info and reports on ethernet physical/hardware addresses.
MONLAT - gathers info and reports on LAT information seen.
MONLAV - gathers info and reports on LAVC clusters seen.
The only one of the three I still see on DSNlink is MONLAV. I have original
source code for all three, plus an update. I'm not sure if the original or
update was on DSNlink. I know I got one of the copies direct from the author
(David Gagne). I would have gotten both copies back about the 1990 time
frame.
If you want a copy of either of the above, let me know. No warranties for
suitability or correctness... I use it on VMS V5.5-x. I don't have any V6.x,
and no AXPs.
