Peter,

the fieldtest 8.3 has been started several weeks ago.
F8.3 has only Alpha and Itanium versions
No signs of a new version (or patches on) Vax VMS.

Well, VMS field test versions tend to come out once every 12 to 18 months,
not within weeks...

BTW, the V8.3 has been announced on the OpenVMS home page some times during
the last few weeks. The link points to

Hans,

no pun intended. But why should we restrict to VMS versions in this ng?
Other fieldtest (compilers, cifs, oracle, soymail, etc.) have been
anounced in the recent past.
