[TCPIP V5.4] SSH/sFTP client socks support?

Ok, I haven't RTFM so far, but nevertheless I ask now:

Do you know, if the SSH & SFTP client of TCPIP V5.4 (ECO 6) supports a
socks proxy on its way to the server (or do I have to use PuTTY/PSFTP
where I know it works, because I've already done it)?
Or do I have to upgrade TCPIP to a more current TCPIP version?
