Environment:
Our R&D team is the nucleus for new systems development at
Ticketmaster. We've created the most widely used ticketing platform in
the world, *Classic* TM. *Classic* TM is Ticketmaster's proprietary
software running on Ticketmaster host systems in Ticketmaster operated
Data Centers. It acts as the transactional engine to which all of our
other products function. It is feature-rich, yet easily supports a
high number of terminals in the heavy demand environment for tickets
to multiple arena and stadium events.
Position Purpose:
You will direct the development of Ticketmaster's host system.
Supervise and participate in the creation of new ticketing system
features and functionality. Technical responsibilities include VAX
development on the TM Host, as well as managing interaction with
servers using multiple PC operating systems. You'll lead a talented
development team and partner with management to establish goals for
2003/2004.
Requirements:
Successful candidates will possess strong analytical, problem solving,
and management skills. You must be able to write efficient algorithms
and easily diagnose problems within existing code, also demonstrate
proficiency in the code review process. Critical tools include VAX
Assembly language [Macro-32] and C+. This position normally requires
a degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related
experience in this field. Ability to handle multiple projects and
deadlines is a must.
