Acorn Software, Inc. as part of a public demonstration of VirtualBranches,
the industry leading MO and CDROM data library automation product, is
indexing the contents of the DECUS L&T CDROMs and the Digital Freeware CDROMs
and making the index and the contents of the CDROMs available on the web.

The indexing process is ongoing and should be complete within then next few
days. All readme, document, help and text files are indexed. Due to problems
with the robot we're using (we're working with the manufacturer) quite a few
OTHER files are being indexed as well. We'll be pruning the indexes of the
excess data once the process has been completed.

The search pages are under development. Any comments, suggestions, requests,
or problems should be send to webm...@acornsw.com.

Now onto the good part...

http://storm.acornsw.com:8080/phantom.acgi$

is the URL for the search for at the moment. Please report any problems
promptly.

The folks at Acorn Software are providing this service in the hope that it
will be of benefit to the OpenVMS community let us know if you find it
useful.
