Hi.

I'd like to know how is the restore process. Do I need the full backup
or the VM itself? Or, can I restore the files that are copied as a new
VM and put it up and running?

Thanks all.

The restore process is as follows:

first of all you extract the archive contents following the
instructions into the "yourvmname"_instructions.txt file which is
created along the backup.
Then you open your VMware Server console and add the vm to the
inventory by browsing to the folder where you extracted the archive
contents.

Now, if you used the "hot" backup method, you simply do a "revert to
snapshot" and you get the VM up and running.
If instead youchose the "cold" backup method, you simply resume the VM
by clicking the "play" button into the VMware Server Console.

In both cases you get the VM up and running as it was at the moment it
was backed up.

Regards,

Michele
