We have one of two BIG EVENTS for 2014 coming up THIS WEEKEND at VMP BMX. This is YOUR chance to earn 400 Points, Get a GOLD MEDAL, secure or improve your position in the State Championship Standings, and contribute to a Worthy Cause.

PLEASE REMEMBER that the SATURDAY RACE is OPEN to Community Members in addition to USA BMX Members. If you have friends who want to try out BMX Racing, this is a GREAT EVENT for them to jump in with BOTH FEET!! We have one-day signup forms available at THE Track which they can use for this event even if they have used a one-day membership in the past.

FRIDAY, August 15 is an ALL-DAY Track and Site Prep Day
All skills are welcome! Bikes are welcome as well. If enough bikes and volunteers are present, we will schedule a practice day with the League and run gates.
FULL BATH HOUSE access and OVERNIGHT CAMPING AVAILABLE
If you plan to arrive Friday and Stay Overnight, please arrive no later than 7pm or contact us to make gate and overnight security arrangements (email vmp...@gmail.com, phone 804-301-5059)
Saturday night's stay is FREE. Bring your Tent, Pop-up, RV, Pickup, or just a blanket and enjoy some time under the BIG SKIES of Dinwiddie County
If you need or want to stay Sunday Night, please let us know and we will do our best to work something out.
NO PARKING FEES or CAMPING FEES THIS WEEKEND

SATURDAY and SUNDAY 50-50 RAFFLES
We will have two separate 50-50 Raffles with TICKETS FOR SALE Before Each Race and During the Qualifying Rounds - One WINNING TICKET will be drawn just before MAIN EVENTS - the WINNER MUST BE PRESENT and RESPOND WHEN CALLED - WINNER WILL RECEIVE 50% of the TOTAL COLLECTED in CASH - THE Track will contribute the REMAINING 50% EACH DAY to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in the name of a DESIGNATED RACER.
SATURDAY, August 16 Detailed Schedule
The Race Event for Saturday is the USA BMX Double Point Race for Life combined with the Subway Commonwealth Games BMX Medal Round (one race)
- Please have all Race for Life collection envelopes and additional donations ready at Registration - if you are planning to contribute additional funds later, please let us know so we can plan accordingly
- This Race is OPEN TO ALL, even those without a USA BMX License - USA BMX Members with a FULL ANNUAL LICENSE earn Double District Points for this race
- Race for Life offers Certificate Awards for the Finish of the Day and Tiered Awards based on Additional Contributions above the Race Fees -- For more information on the Race for Life, see www.usabmx.com/site/sections/20
- For 2014, there are no pre-qualifications needed for the Subway Commonwealth Games Medal Round - Just Come to Race in Class or Cruiser - Medals are Awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place Finishes in each Class (classes as listed on the Moto Sheet for the Day) and Qualify the Racer for the 2015 State Games - For more information on the Subway Commonwealth Games, start at this page and browse around www.commonwealthgames.org/subway-games/sports-listing/bmx - For more information on the 2015 State Games, visit www.sga2015.com/

- $20 Entry for Novice, Intermediate, Expert, Cruiser, Girls Cruiser - RFL Certificate and Subway Commonwealth Games Medal Award
- $10 Entry for Open - VMP Medallion Award
- $10 Entry for Strider - Subway Commonwealth Games Medal Award - VMP Medallion to Additional Participants
3:45-4pm Opening Ceremonies
4-6pm Racing and Awards Presentation
Subway Commonwealth Games Medals are Presented on the PODIUM at the end of EACH MAIN - Please proceed to the Podium Immediately and stand in your Finish Position for the Medal Presentation and Picture (no Saver Stamps are Awarded for Race for Life Events)
6-8pm Dominique Daniels Clinic (2 hours starting 15 min after the last main)
8-11pm Family Time
11pm-6am Quiet Hours
SUNDAY, August 17 Detailed Schedule
The Race Event for Sunday is the USA BMX State Championship Race Double Point Qualifier
- This is a TEAM EVENT per the rules presented at the First Qualifier at Hampton BMX earlier in 2014 - TEAM ROSTER and Jersey Rules are in Effect
- ALL Racers in Novice, Intermediate, Expert, Cruiser, and Girls Cruiser must be currently registered USA BMX Members with the Full (Annual) license (unexpired) - We have REGISTRATION FORMS available AT THE EVENT during Signup Times and can RENEW or SIGN UP NEW Members
- OPEN and STRIDER Racers MUST HAVE Either a current USA BMX License or sign the ONE DAY License form available at Registration
6-10am is the Final Prep and Setup as well as Vendor and Volunteer Arrival time
10-11:45am Race Signups at the RED REGISTRATION Building near the FINISH LINE and Gate Practice (Wristbands Required)
- $25 Entry for Novice, Intermediate, Expert, Cruiser, Girls Cruiser -
State Qualifier Trophy or Double Saver Stamps Award (10, 6, 4) - TEAM
