Hello all,

I am trying to get vmktree v0.4.1 setup on my debian 5 monitoring box.
I have installed and added an esxi 4.1 host and from what I see
running "/usr/bin/vmktree-esx4-collector 10.10.0.2 root" manually, it
looks like data is being collected successfully since I see rrdtool
update messages.

From the web I see my host and all my guest vms, but where all the
graph images should be I see missing graphics. When I look at my /var/
www/vmktree/tmp folder I have nothing inside the folder. I can't
seem to find any error messages logged anywhere, but it almost looks
like a permissions issue or such.

I can run "sudo -u nobody perl /usr/lib/cgi-bin/vmk/vmktree" and I get
html/javascript output.

Any help is appreciated.
Thanks! -Cheers, Peter.

Hello all again,

I found my answer. Even though the install script properly detected
that my web root was "/var/www", the auto-generated "/etc/
vmktree.conf" file had "location.www" set as "/var/www/html/vmktree"
instead of "/var/www/vmktree".

This might be a bug in the installer or a accidental hard coded
variable left in.

Thanks! -Cheers, Peter.

This also fixed vmktree on Ubuntu 10.04.
