Update INPBOX folder..?

Hello All!
In my applications there is a connection to the store. Then i open the INBOX folder, read messages are in it. After this i removed all messages and closed the INBOX folder. (If at that time i will terminate the application, it would appear that the messages have not been removed). If I re-opened the INBOX folder, the new messages in the box for some reason are not shown - the number of messages in the INBOX folder = 0(Because i deleted all messages). New message will appear only when I close the INBOX folder, and disconnected from the store. All updates only occur if i close the INBOX folder and close the connection to the store. This behavior is correct?
