Hello,

You signed up to receive email notification of funding opportunities to implement the Puget Sound Action Agenda.

The Puget Sound Marine and Nearshore Grant Program managed by the Departments of Fish and Wildlife and Natural Resources invite proposals to apply for National Estuary Program (NEP) funding to protect in perpetuity high priority marine shoreline habitat from development. National Estuary Program funding is provided by the US Environmental Protection Agency. The Puget Sound Marine and Nearshore Grant Program is partnering with the Recreation and Conservation Office (RCO) to offer grants these grants.

Goal: The goal of the Marine Shoreline Protection grants are to protect high-priority, Puget Sound marine shoreline habitat from the impacts of development. These grants will protect, forever, the shoreline through land purchases and voluntary land preservation agreements, also called conservation easements.  Preference will be given for projects that protect intact habitat in areas that are rapidly developing.

Eligible Applicants: Cities, counties, towns;  Federally recognized Native American tribes;  Nonprofit conservation organizations; Special purpose districts, port districts, or other political subdivisions of the state providing services to less than the entire state if legally authorized to acquire and restore habitat lands; State agencies
