In March of 2013, I applied for a research grant to begin writing a book on VMFA-251s WW2 history. In January of 2014, I was awarded a $500 grant. The book project is to be complete in June 2016. I have started a Kickstarter Project to raise travel funds for several research trips that need to be made. If the goal isn't reached, I will have to cut back on the planned trips.
