Good Morning Fellow Clerks,

 

The Town of Floyd is looking at developing our own Planning Commission.  Part of the work ahead is developing the By-Laws for this Commission.  If any of you have access to you Town's Planning Commission's By-Laws, I would really appreciate your sharing them with me.

Good Morning, Karen.  Our Planning Commission does not have any specific bylaws, per se.

 

If you will go to the City's website at www.danville-va.gov , you will see our city code & zoning code. To get there, on the left of the homepage, you will see "Government."  Place your cursor there.  There should be a dropdown...you will see City Clerk.  Click on that. On the right of the page,  you will see our Codes. 

 

The City Code & Zoning Code might help you get started. Also the State Code offers provisions for a Planning Commission in Section 15.2 somewhere, I think.
