Canons, a collective noun?

to The Vergers' Guild of the Episcopal Church V-List
On a regular basis, our diocesan Canons gather at our church for a meeting. This past week six Canons were meeting in our parlor and I had a sudden thirst to to know what a collective noun is for a group of Canons.

Is there such a noun?  If not let's have some suggestions.

I can't help myself on this one.  Being a Artillery Operation Man in the USMC, a group of Canons would be a Battery

I once heard that the reasons they are called canons is because they shoot their mouths off a lot.

As a member of the 1st Marine Division band some 52 years ago, and remembering the noise made by the 11th Marines with their cannons during night manuvers, I for one would be the first to agree!

How did I miss that one (or two) Bill? I don't normally use this account but for some reason the V-:ist wouldn't accept my normal verger account.
