Hi Everyone;
This is not a corona virus request but a request just the same.  I have been treated for congestive heart failure for the past year and have been unable to either attend services nor to serve. I have now been advised that I am in what they call “end stage” and have been told that I have  a 9-12 month survival period. I am at peace (most of the time!).  I ask your prayers for my wife Betty who works so faithfully to help me and for my family. This period of quarantine has made it impossible to be together as we would otherwise wish to be.

Dear Chuck,

It's hard to know what to say.  We all know this time comes for each of
us, but our society teaches us little or nothing about how to say goodbye.

This is what I can say.  I am grateful that we became acquainted.  I am
grateful to have talked with you, and to have learned with you. I know
that you have love on this earth - from Betty and others in your family,
and from friends and colleagues. You have done well.  You have served
well.  You have loved well. This is, after all what we came here to do
in this life:  to learn, to teach, to love.  And I promise you, for I
know this with all my being:   it is true that love never ends.

May the peace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ surround you and
uphold you and yours in this sacred time of change.
