Hi VIVO community!
#VIVO2021, took place this past June 23rd – 25th and was a great success!
We have continued last year’s online format that makes the VIVO Community more inclusive and avoids geographical boundaries.
With 252 attendees, the conference was our second largest ever - and our most international conference with registrants from 32 countries, up from 22 last year. Some truly excellent work was presented regarding VIVO implementations, focusing on VIVO user groups communities, ontology developments, data ingest and its focus going forward and in general related to research information systems and research data management.
We had the participation of 3 great keynote speakers (Ludo Waltman, Carly Robinson and Paolo Manghi) whose presentations aroused great interest. And once again we were able to join forces with EuroCRIS, who hosted an exciting track focused on the recently created group of Spanish-speaking users of VIVO.
We had a very lovely remembrance for Graham Triggs where wonderful memories were shared.
The virtual conference was recorded - and will be published soon! Stay tuned for more information.
Thanks to all participants and the VIVO Community in general for the great success of the 12th Annual International VIVO Conference.
Go VIVO!
The VIVO Conference task force.
