This pledge reflects a strong vote of confidence in VIVO’s direction. As outlined in our Development Roadmap, we are making targeted investments to ensure VIVO continues to evolve as a powerful, community-governed alternative to proprietary research information systems that is aligned with institutional priorities around openness, interoperability and long-term sustainability.
We’re already off to a great start: this year, VIVO will become much easier to install and manage, with out-of-the-box support for harvesting from multiple external sources with automatic deduplication as well as exciting features like exporting to OpenAIRE and ORCID profile synchronization that will expand VIVO’s role within the global research ecosystem and increase its value for institutions like yours.
This new generous pledge will move us much further on the roadmap, but only if we meet the challenge: we need other community members to make additional contributions at this critical moment. There are three ways to do this:
(1) Make a contribution directly to the VIVO Development Fund. Each dollar you can contribute starting today will be matched up to the pledge limit. If contributing via Credit Card use code 2026match in the “In Tribute Of” field. Otherwise, please email vi...@lyrasis.org to request an invoice.
(2) Become a new VIVO Member. Include 2026match in the comments when submitting the Membership Form.
(3) If you’re already a VIVO member, you will have just received your membership renewal invoice. If you renew your membership at a higher level for 2026-2027, not only will you get additional benefits, but any increase in your membership level for 2026-2027 will also be matched dollar-for-dollar in contributions to the Development Fund up to the $25,000 maximum.
