Dear Students & Faculty,
I am happy to inform that the 6th VIT International Science, Engineering and Technology (SET) Conference for the Winter 2012‐13 semester will be held on 7th – 8th May 2013 (Tuesday and Wednesday), and is organized by the School of Electrical Engineering (SELECT). All students who have registered into RBL courses must carry out a SET project work and the output should be published as a paper in the SET conference. Necessary online registration link will be opened on 1st February 2013 (Friday) under student login. Individual students or a group of students (not exceeding three) may register for a project work online and choose a guide (preferably one of their currently registered course faculty). Review papers are not permitted for presentation. Students (UG, PG, Research Scholars, etc.) who have not registered for their project online will not be eligible to receive the 20% weightage of marks set against in each RBL course registered by them during this semester. Respective guides will award 90% of the marks in stages towards the progress made in the project work & the paper written by them subsequently, and the balance! 10% will be awarded based on their SET Conference presentation and en tered by their PM. Detailed evaluation criteria and key dates are enclosed. ‘Turnitin’ software shall be used by the guides to assess draft paper uploaded by the students guided by them. All papers will be peer reviewed by School level faculty committees before they are accepted for the presentation.

The student uploads the paper and the same will reach the faculty guide so that the guide can review the correctness of the content and may offer remarks on how to improve. Hence the student will get some more time to make corrections before the final submission of the paper. |

Announcement of acceptance! / rejection of paper |
