MySQL Workbench connection to vtgate

Hi all,

   I am new to vitess.  I managed to install the example instance without issue. 

   But when I try to connect to vtgate via MySQL workbench or SQLyog both failed.  Only client work is DBeaver which used JDBC to connect.

   Is it a normal behaviour?

Workbench doesn't work as is: https://github.com/youtube/vitess/issues/3130. But you can customize it to not send those preamble queries, and then it should work.

Same should be the case with SQLyog, or other tools.
