Dear All,

ARAI has embarked upon a programme of building up human resources by commencing educational program in collaboration with VIT (Vellore Institute of Technology), Vellore since 2004. The first year of study is at VIT, Vellore and the second is at ARAI, Pune for specialized subjects as well as project work. The purpose of this M.Tech programme in Automotive Engineering is to create a breed of post graduate engineers with in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge to meet the needs of modern Automotive Engineering. Considering the response from Automotive Industries, the batch size was increased from 25 to 60 and most of them are placed in the Automotive Industry. Eventhough, some new courses are added in collaboration with other universities recently, this is the flagship course, where the 15^th Batch is in ARAI and the 16^th batch is in VIT University.

The first syllabus was made in 2004, followed by some revisions in 2009, 2013 and 2017. We now need to revise this further considering the latest development in technology & teaching aids. In this connection, we request you to go through the attached syllabus copy and give your suggestions /comments for revision/addition of books & references. In case, you come across a better syllabus, you can email the same to us.

Please forward all your suggestions/comments to me (rafi...@araiindia.com) for compilation and approval of Academic Council.
