Free Stats package

Hi,

I need a free statistics package that is good for descriptive
statistics in relation to medical statistics.

I use Windows Vista 32 bit.

If the package is portable (run from a USB) even better.

Can anyone suggest some packages that I can review?

Thank you for responding.

I will have a look at the package and the links. I assume that it
covers descriptive statisitcs. For example, percentages, mean, median,
standard deviation, inter-quartile range; and pie, line, bar charts,
and histograms.

Can the programme be run from a USB in addition to being run from a
hard drive?

My impression is that it may work but I have not ever tried it. Check if
the drive assigns a different letter than when the program was
installed, of course.
