help is not working in VLP--is that a known issue?

Folks, I was intrigued to learn of the VLP, but when I launched it and
tried to open a log file with it, the file>open didn't open log files
but just vlp or sql files. Clearly, I was expecting the tool to work
differently than it does. :-)

But my real point of observation is that I then went to the Help menu
command (help>contents) to learn how to use the tool correctly, but
that didn't work either. No help file opened. Tried f1, too, to no
avail.

I finally thought to use the help>index command, which opened a help
file--but it was the logparser one.
