Visual Language Wiki

The visual language wiki that (I understand) we're using is at URL:

http://visuallanguageproject.com/

Problem: It's being over-run by spammers.
The anti-spam protections there are super-incredibly-weak.

Anyone know about this?
Thoughts?

I'd really like for the wiki to succeed.

I think that we just need to ask Dave Grey or Matt at XPlane (I think
that Dave owns the wiki) and have him add a couple of additional
administrators to the wiki to help. If we turn off editing by
anonymous this will halt most of the spam attacks. By allowing
anonymous editing it is wide open for abuse.

Any thoughts? The current VisualLanguageWiki appears to be just a
shell waiting to be filled. I think that it has been suggested
previously to combine efforts for the visuallanguagewiki hosted by
XPlane and the Toa River visual language wiki. I'd be willing to do
some admin if there are others working on it as well.

Hi all,

Yes I am an admin of the wiki and would be happy to make anyone from this group an admin (I may need some help figuring out how to do this as I am not a wiki expert!).

I have just blocked the main page and the main talk page (attacked by spammers) from edits by anonymous users.

This wiki may be a great resource eventually, don't give up. I may
like to edit there occasionally myself, although most of my work must
be done on my sites so I can augment with images and such with
techniques I can only use there right now.
