Hi :)
is there someone experienced with using winsock.h in a visual studio
environment? For some reason I can't get it working right. I included
winsock.h into one of my source files, added the wsock32.lib to the
additional dependencies. The linker does not complain but when the
program gets to "gethostname" it doesn't work. When i right click on
the "gethostname" and click on Go To Definition it says that it's not
defined.

Any suggestions are welcome,
Thanks in advance

Karol

Instead of manually linking and adding winsock related lin and file just check the option in advance option tab of using  winsock .

this option will come while you start creating project and choose options like MFC . win32 , them Dilaog  box app or SDIor MDI , I think this that option of choosing winsock will come .
