How to remove "mark all"?

I am a rookie.

I searched some time for it and also tried to find it in the help.

When I use the search function and use "mark all" it works fine. How
to remove all markings so I could do that before doing a new search?

I assume you are using Visual Studio. If so, you can use the Bookmark
Window (View -> Bookmark Window), select all bookmark and press Delete
button
