Hi Nancy,
The only place the "name" property is used by EDIS is to display it on
the login page. It can be set to anything you like and shouldn't
affect the actual connection plumbing. Station number is the one that
has to match. :)

i traced the source code in that InstitutionMappingImpl class ,getJndiConnectorNameForInstitution method. what i found that the institutionMap (which is a TreeMap) dosn't have any element, and during runtime no call for the filler of this TreeMap. actually i got confused because the source code try to fill this institutionMap from "jndi connector file" which doesn't not reach that statement in the source code.
one question Solomon, do you have any idea if the jndi connector file has replaced with vistalink-config.xml??

This comes from a misconfiguration of the data access objects in the
data-access-config.xml. I wasn't passing in the
ConnectionFactoryLocator that looks up the connection info from the
vistalink-config.xml file. By default, EDIS would try to look that
stuff up in JNDI.
In any case, I've fixed the configuration error in the trunk (and
removed some old duplicated classes), so you can do an
svn update
and
mvn clean package
to build a new main.war with the latest stuff in it and this
particular problem should go away. After this, I'm still having
trouble getting EDIS RPCs to return anything, and will be interested
to see if you have the same trouble. I'm putting together a
command-line VistALink tester, but it'll be the weekend before I have
a chance to finish it.

nothing getting to the port with VistALink listening for VistA and I suspect
this is still the issue. Unfortunately, that is about the limit of my
capability to help.
