Hi everyone,
I want to try out something new that is similar to the idea of "Office Hours", but specific to VisPy and VisPy-based problems. In a normal office hours situation my door would be wide open and anyone could come, present their problems, and we'd work on it together. However, I'm not confident that I can solve most problems without a little bit of a heads up and some preparation time. To help with this I've prepared a form that anyone interested in my help can fill out and let me know about their project and the problem they're having.
I'm hoping to get a couple interested projects and choose ones that I think I could be helpful to. For these projects I'm offering an hour or two of my time to deep dive into your project and see what we can get accomplished together. I'll contact the people who submitted the form to schedule a meeting in the next week or two. Office hour meetings will be virtual, likely over Zoom, and can be during the work day, at night, or on the weekends.
I'll be accepting contributions from anyone, but folks with diverse backgrounds and
identities are encouraged to reach out. Submitted projects should not involve private source code or sensitive or confidential data (public/free simulated data is fine).
Feel free to reply to this email or email me directly if you have any feedback on this idea. This idea just came to me as something that might be more useful than leading a class.
