Mid Term update

Hello everyone,

Here's an update after the GSoC mid-term evaluations, which I passed. 

My goal is to build a high-level plotting system for Vispy, which is easy-to-use and allows someone to build up fairly complex scenes without knowing a lot of Vispy's internal plumbing.  

Until now, most of the work I've done has been concentrated on porting over a lot of the code to fit the new visuals system. Right now, I think enough of the functionality exists on the scenegraph-update branch to start working on the plotting functionality.

There was quite a lengthy discussion on the API style. The final decision is to construct a matlotlib-like API, and the other API styles could be built alongside / on top of this in the future.

Schedule for next week:

Unfortunately, I have two exams next week (one on Monday and one on Saturday) which were unexpected. So, I'll be taking some time off to prepare for them. I'm free after that though. 

Monday - Have an exam at college.

Friday - study for exam

Saturday - exam
